Solutions · warehouses
Warehouses and logistics centres. Light, switchboard, cable, backup.
Lighting for aisles and picking areas to standard, switchboard equipment and cable, floodlights for the loading dock and yard, backup power for the server room and gates — in one specification.
- storage and aisles, at floor level
- 75–200 lx
- picking and goods-in
- 200–300 lx
- for dust, moisture and unheated areas
- IP65
What matters
Light a warehouse by its aisles, not by the square metre.
Light has to fall between the racks, not onto the top tiers. At 6–12 m, suspended high-bay luminaires of 100–200 W do the job; lower down, linear luminaires in rows along the aisles. For narrow aisles between tall racking, choose luminaires with a narrow light distribution.
The level for aisles is calculated at the floor, for the picking area at the working plane. For dust, condensation and unheated rooms take IP65; for forklift routes, impact resistance of IK08 or higher.
- Storage and aisles 75–200 lx on the floor
- Picking and goods-in 200–300 lx on the working plane
- Uniformity no lower than 0.4–0.6 in work areas
- Maintenance factor 1.4–1.5 for dusty warehouses
